If you think you read it wrongly, no, you are not. Microsoft. right now, is not only about Windows and Office. In latest attempt to expand their exposures, especially to mobile phones users, Microsoft is releasing Microsoft Selfie which basically an app intended for selfie-taker to enhance the quality of their photos.
Filter and Auto Noise Reduction
Either you take selfie photo directly or select any photos from camera roll, you will then prompted with selections of filter you can choose from.
Different filter will give different effect. Try them one by one to see which one fits the best for your selfie photos.
The app itself is also doing auto noise reduction, but there's a catch, when auto noise reduction is set to ON, you can't use flash when taking photo.
Before and After comparisons
Tap on compare button to see the immediate effect before and after the filter is applied.
From the result, you can see that the photo is brighter and smoother. Once you satisfied with the filter result, tap save on top right of the screen to save the enhanced photo to your camera roll.
The Verdict
Microsoft Selfie, though the options seem to be limited compared to other photo enhancement app, but it does its job great. The photo result looks brighter and smoother. And interface-wise, Microsoft Selfie is simple and user-friendly. Currently available exclusively for iOS users.
