Whenever a user delete a file from any of his storage devices, the file does not get disappeared or erase permanently from that specific storage, only the storage gets a command to overwrite to that particular file. To recover lost/formatted data using RECUVA software you need to follow all these steps by step instruction given below.

Step 1: First go to your web browser and enter this link www.ccleaner.com

Step 2: Now click on download and select download recuva.

After clicking on download recuva the download will get start and a setup file will gets downloaded in your computer, you need to install the setup file which is downloaded.

Step 3: open the setup file of and install RECUVA.

Step 4; Now run  the installed software on your computer.

Step 5: You will see a wizard window of recuva recovery tool click on next and follow further steps.

After clicking on next you have to choose the file type which is lost/deleted.

Step 6: Now you have to choose the file type like if any of your photos was deleted then select on photos, if your videos was deleted then select on videos, if it is a document then select on document. and so on. Then click on next.

If you want to recover multiple files then select on (All files) in the window and click next.

After clicking on next the next window will ask you about the file location.

Step 7: Now select the location/directory in which you want RECUVA to scan files for recovery.

You can also browse for a specific directory in the computer by selecting on (in a specific location.

After clicking next, you will be asked for scanning with or without deep scan.

If you can't find your files in normal scan then try again by enabling deep scan function by clicking on deep scan check box. Deep scan usually take more time than normal.

After clicking on next you will find a list of deleted files,

Step 8: Now just select your file which was deleted and right click the mouse and click on (recover highlighted).

step 9: In the next step  you have to choose the directory in which you want to save those recovered files.

Note: Do not choose the same directory from which you recovered the files, as it may cause your file to be corrupted.


Now your files are recovered.


Note : File with green mark will recover for sure, file with yellow mark have a chance for recovery, and file with red mark will not be recovered cause its is been overwritten with some other files.
